Sometimes, you’re at a formal event and you’ve forgotten to disable your Apple Watch alerts. This can be a real distraction, so it’s key to know a discreet and quick way to mute all alerts from appearing on your Apple Watch. If you receive an alert and would like to prevent future alerts from appearing, you can simply cover the Apple Watch’s screen with your hand for three seconds to quickly mute any new sounds. If you don’t have this turned on already, you can do so by going to the Apple Watch app located on your iPhone, then heading to My Watch > Sounds & Haptics > Cover to Mute. Now, forgetting to put your Apple Watch in silent mode won’t be a problem anymore.

2: Locate iPhone with Apple Watch

While this may be something you already know, most new users don’t. Did you know that you can easily locate your iPhone through your Apple Watch’s bluetooth connection. Gone are the days where you would have to connect to another device of yours to find your iPhone in a hurry. Now, you can simply swipe up from home screen to the control centre  and click on the icon which represents an iPhone. This will ping your iPhone, and it will start making a sound, allowing you to easily find your device. Keep in mind that in order to do this, your iPhone must be connected to your Apple Watch, so the two devices must be close to one another.

3: Set your Apple Watch to an earlier time

If you regularly find yourself running late to work, then the Apple Watch has a feature just for you. You can set your Apple Watch to display the time ahead by a couple of minutes. Don’t worry, your notifications and clocks from other time zones won’t be affected. IF you want to turn this one, head to Settings > Time > +0 min >  select how many minutes on a scale of 0 to 59.
