The MacBook Pro 16-inch is Apple’s top-of-the-line laptop. It comes with very impressive features but at a steep price point. Here’s what you should be looking for if you’re considering to purchase this premium computer.
If on a daily basis, you’re mostly web browsing, watching movies, writing essays and taking notes on your computer, then something like the MacBook Air will suffice. If you’re interested in light content creation such as editing your first videos or some photos, then a baseline MacBook Pro 13″ will get the job done easily.
You should only be turning towards the more expensive MBP 16″ if your needs reflect these:
- You’re a pro user who regularly produces high-quality content or engages in any high-intensity activity on your laptop
- Saving as much time as possible is a big point for you and is important in your line of work
- The features such as a scissor-switch keyboard or better microphone quality are a deal-breaker to you
Apple has a history of taking the best features from the flagship models and putting them into lower-priced variants. So if you don’t need a MacBook Pro 16″ for the previously listed reasons and you still want something with a bit more power, your best course of action would be to sit tight and wait for a little until more affordable options come out with better specs.
